Most ICRL activities are collaborations among its various members, guided by individual and collective interests that are consistent with the organization’s scholarly philosophy and purpose.  These are pursued on a volunteer basis, with ICRL providing supervision and modest financial support, as appropriate.  They fall into three general categories — basic research, educational outreach, and pragmatic applications — although there is often considerable overlap among these.  More detailed descriptions of our active and anticipated projects are presented on the relevant Activities pages of this website, but the following brief synopsis will provide some indication of the range of our current interests:

a) Basic Research

  • Experiments in anomalous human/machine interactions and remote perception;
  • Theoretical models that dialogue effectively with the empirical data;
  • Acoustical properties of ancient ceremonial sites and contemporary environments;
  • Cognitive archaeology and sacred landscapes;
  • Biophoton emission and its relationship to intercellular communication;
  • Anomalous earthlight phenomena;
  • The evolution of conceptualizations of consciousness;
  • Eastern and Western traditions and practices relating to the role of consciousness in mind/body health;
  • Human/animal communications.

b) Educational Outreach
  • Mentoring of younger members by more experienced colleagues;
  • Creating, producing, and distributiing salient publications and educational DVDs;
  • Facilitating one-on-one contacts, local or regional gatherings, more extended group convocations, and electronic discussions;
  • Providing links to pertinent informational resources;
  • Maintaining a private mailing list for periodic announcements of ICRL activities and publications;
  • Developing web-based educational materials, including the webcourse, Consciousness and the Physical World;
  • Establishing an array of discussion forums for  mailing list members;
  • Facilitating opportunities for collaborative research,

c) Pragmatic Applications
  • Encouragement of commercial enterprises to develop marketable technical equipment and supporting analytical software, and especially with Psyleron, Inc.;
  • Implementation of  projects incorporating the interface of art and science;
  • Health-related applications of REG technologies.
